If a value is incorrect in a transaction for a patient, use the below steps to adjust the transaction to what is needed. This is usually done if the start date of a script is adjusted and transactions in the past have been added and cannot be dosed normally.

  1. Open the patient and navigate to Prescription > show all prescriptions … > Transactions tab.
  2. Select the user in the Who am I field just above the transaction list. If you are adjusting multiple transactions for the same reason you can click the Remember Reason tickbox so you don’t have to enter a reason each time.

  1. Find the transaction you need to edit and click the below button under the Edit column for that transaction.

  1. If this is the first transaction you are editing or you didn’t click the Remember Reason tickbox in step two you will receive the below window. Enter the reason for adjusting the dose in the Comments textbox then press OK.

  1. In the Change Dose Amount box on the left side of the window that appears, enter the correct dosage. It is best to include two decimal places to match everything else in Autodose.

  1. On the other side you will see the Change Dose Types OR Delete Entire daily dose box. Below is an explanation of each option.

Is T/A, DD or 3D – Tick if they have taken a dose home that covers the day’s transaction you’re editing, they had a double-dose the day prior, or they had a triple-dose the day prior or two days prior.
Has Visited – Has the patient entered the store today? Usually, this will be Yes if they had a dose in-store, or TA/DD if they have had a take-away dose that covers the day’s transaction you’re editing.
Has Taken Away – Do they have a take-away dose that covers the day’s transaction you’re editing?
Has Double Dosed – Did they have a double-dose the day prior?
Has Triple Dosed – Did they have a triple-dose the day prior or two days prior.
Delete Dose and change status to – This if used if the dose needs to be deleted and have the transaction marked as Missed, Open, Suspended, or Withheld.
Change User – If you are adjusting the dose and not deleting the dose, select the user who administered the dose on the day.

  1. When you are happy with how the transaction looks, press the Change button at the bottom of the window. Repeat for other transactions if needed.
If you are deleting the dose you only need to press the Delete Dose button instead of Change.
